Welcome to Musical Muses

Welcome to Musical Muses, curated by Mr. P. Mr. P has been a music educator in public schools in Ohio since 2008. He has experience teaching music to all ages, but specializes in middle childhood education. The vision for Musical Muses is to explore music from a wide variety of genre, cultures, etc. to take us outside of our comfort zones so that we may better understand the beloved art form of music. Music is unique to humanity and is understood and appreciated by all, but each of us learns to appreciate music differently. From my experience, when we don't understand something (in this case we will focus on musical misconceptions) we tend to not appreciate it. In the most extreme cases, some even fear what they do not understand. Together we will explore music's ability to change us and help us to express the feelings that words alone can not fully capture.
